A JOB IN HOTLANTA, PRAISE GOD...

While we are still in the process of moving to Florida, waiting for the perfect timing, and for the storms to “vacate the area”, we got more good news tonight. Our son-in-law Eric Allen (Theresa’s husband), got word that he has a very good job with the CDC, the job he really wanted! They will be moving to Atlanta, Georgia ….just five hundred and ten miles from us, and we thank God! Much better than the over 3,0000 miles that now separate us!!! We have so prayed for the family to leave California, but asked for the direction of God for them, I believe they have found it.

He has worked with the government for a number of years, after serving his country in the military, we are very proud of him and wish the family God’s blessings in every way.

We are so glad that Theresa and Eric and their two daughters, Treasure and Cherish-Faye will be closer to us, but more importantly; we are glad God is leading them and making ways for them. I give thanks and glory to God, for another answer to prayer. May God continue to bless us…every-one!
Blessings,

MY WONDERFUL HUSBAND, PRAY FOR HIM....

Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed concerning the goodness of God over my life. I have the best husband in the world, he is so good to me and our family, that I often say to myself, “what a life." When I was a senior in college, God revealed in my spirit while praying for a husband,"I've saved the best for you." That was in 1978, a long time ago, we met and married in 1985. Now after 22 years of marriage, I can comprehend and understand what was revealed to me so long ago, and it gets sweeter as the days go by.

My life has not been without its share of troubles, and ups and downs, but in the spirit, I can say, “I don’t have no sad story.” In a way, my life has been enhanced by many difficulties of life, God has been with me all the way......

I ask everyone who reads this post and follow my blog (I heard there are many of you), to remember John Torrence in prayer, each and every time you talk to God. Pray for his health and strenght especially as we pack and move and start our new life together, the turn in the road, the NEW BEGINNING. It is so awesome to be so cared for and loved, pray for me also that I be the best wife ever, to such a wonderful man. Thank you.
Blessings,
Torrence

A HOME IN FLORIDA.......SWEET

I praise God that He is not only SO GOOD, but He is also SO FAITHFUL!! We traveled to Florida the weekend and God blessed us to make it home early this morning. We chose the city of Palm Bay over Ocala, just felt right and we weighed (very carefully), the pros and cons and “felt after the Lord”. We tried to get to see properties while there but couldn’t connect to realtors until the last hour or so. We were showed a property we really liked, made application, and heard “you got the house” around noon this morning. If that's not God, I'll eat my hat!!! LOL Of course its God!!!

Oh for the divine favor of God, the pastor has been preaching about God's favor for a month or so now, and we got to see it again this weekend.

Thanking and giving glory to God. Pray with us as we continue to stay in the very center of his will.

Blessings

WONDERFUL WEEKEND, PRAISE GOD

This has been one of the greatest and most blessed weekends for me, lots of ministry and fellowship with new people (and old friends). On Saturday morning I experienced my first Prayer Breakfast. I have heard of them but never had attended one, but it was great. This was an outreach breakfast, where people from half-way houses and the prison system come and get ministered to and get a great breakfast to boot. When I was asked to speak to the ladies, I didn’t know it was this type of meeting, and the Lord gave me for the message “The love of God, Yes God loves you!!!
It fitted perfectly for the type of ministry the church was doing and the Lord really blessed me and all that attended. I give glory to him, the spirit was so sweet and the anointing really flowed for “ where the spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.”
One lady asked for deliverance from smoking, and the Lord really blessed her. Each person brought their needs to God and we really had a praying good time. I understood why they call it “prayer breakfast”.

I was asked to preach the message again tonight at service and the Lord did it again, even stronger than Saturday morning, I love to preach about the Love of God. After I finished I was asked to sing the song The Love of God. I was happy to sing it as it had been in my spirit all week, what a song, what a love, the true love, the unconditional love of God!! I give God all the glory.

When we relocate to Florida , one of my prayers is to have a mission in the place God plants us. Neither of these cities, Palm Bay, or Ocala has a Church of God, and we need one to attend, I’m praying God is sending the people to it, even now. ROMANS 5:8 says “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” It don’t get no better than that…Glory be to God!!!

GET UP EARLY!!!

I had this weird dream last night…well not too unusual for me but this one was interesting. Upon awakening, I remembered bits and pieces but couldn’t quiet get it focused. I kept trying to remember and finally…it came back to me. A group of people were around this lady, asking about her beauty secrets and how she’d managed to look so good, and young, she was in her 60’s or early seventies. I just remembered her saying, “I get up early, and get started, have my breakfast and do my work”, or something to that effect. That statement has really haunted me all day…just back from the hair salon, I’m still thinking of “I get up early”.
Well, I will take this one for me, you see I’m always telling my friend Shirley, that I’m not an early riser, she wants to walk with me, but she’s an early bird. I’ve been really trying to walk with her because she needs a buddy and we live on the same street.

A month or so ago, she had a heart surgery, and walking is what the docs told her she HAD to do to fully recover. I’ve made up my mind, I am getting up earlier, maybe God is trying to tell me something…I walk mornings and afternoons, but I can be a bit lazy and stay in bed too long, thus blowing valuable time! Now that I'm moving, I had better REALLY, get up early and get ready to move.....really move.

I have always enjoyed sleep, and I thank God because good sound sleep is as important as good nutrition and exercise. Sleep is the BOMB! Many conditions can be made better simply by getting a good nights sleep, and some conditions have come about because of a deficiency of good deep sleep.. So.... I will challenge myself to get up earlier and get moving more, there’s always room for improvement. And besides, Shirley needs me…
God often spoke to his people in the night visions and in dreams. Yes, I too will "get up early"....
Blessings
