KEY LESSONS

1 God purposely created each individual, no one was created by chance or accident.

2, God carefully crafted every feature of your existence, placing a strong emphasis on accepting your individuality.

  1. The length of your life was predetermined by God, emphasizing the importance and meaning of every day.

  1. God purposely structured your birthplace, nationality, and circumstances for a reason.

  2. Taking in account both sin and human nature, God's plan transcends human shortcomings.

  3. God formed a fundamental fact for life when He created each individual out of love.

  4. God is love at His core, and He looks out for us from birth to old age.

  5. Without God, life has no meaning; meaning is found when God is the center of attention.

  6. Accurate self-awareness results from recognizing God's presence in our life and identifying with His nature.

  7. A person's sense of worth in God's expansive creation is strengthened by accepting their unique design and realizing they are not an accident.

WORKSHEET

Reflective Writing

Consider and write about the following questions in your journal.

. Consider the statement, “You are not a mistake”. How does this approach change your perception of yourself.

. How difficult is it for you to accept some of the aspects of your own personality, heritage, or physical appearance.

. What effects does realization that you were “conceived in the mind of God” have on your self-esteem and purpose?

LETTER TO YOURSELF

Write a letter to yourself thanking God for the person that he has made you to be. Learn to love yourself, accepting all the facets of yourself as a deliberate creation with a purpose.

IDENTIFY AND AFFIRM STRENGTHS

List all your strengths, talents and positive qualities. Consider how all these qualities support your goals and also correlate with the intentional design by God. Validate these qualities often to remind yourself of your own worth.

ACTS OF KINDNESS

Perform acts of kindness and benevolence toward the others, understanding that your deliberate creation by God has some purpose in influencing the lives of those around you for the good. Think about how your individual talents can help to change the world.

BIBLE REFLECTION

Psalm 139:13-16 (NIV)

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

PSALM 139:14 (NIV)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

PSALM 139:1-4 (NIV)

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.”
