lOVE WORKETH NO ILL...TO HIS NEIGHBOR...

LOVE WORKETH NO ILL...TO IT'S NEIGHOR

It is amazing how you can find things while decluttering. A few days ago I was on a tear, cleaning up and rearranging some things when out of the blue, I came across this ancient writing. It has to be over fifteen years old, but I remember writing it and recording it on my radio program.
As I began to read it, the wording and inspiration came back to me..could have been written today. I would like to share it with you..
True love will not intentionally go about to hurt another. This act alone will prove whether we are of God or the wicked one. This is the test. Jesus said in John 13:34-35..”A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all! 1John 1:5.
Love “worketh” no ill, the word worketh here means to labor, to work with force or forethoought. Love does not “labor” to hurt someone. Love has no premeditated thoughts of hurting or harming someone, has no forethought to harm. Isn't love wonderful! Yes it is, and we must all strive to love and to live in love one with another..oh Hallejuah!
Paul here in this passage cites four of the Ten Commandments dealing with our relationships with one another. He quotes Exodus 20:13-15,17, and Deut. 5: 17-19,21. summed up Love your neighbor as yourself. You see, you must love yourself, before you can even attempt to love others. Leviticus 19:18 reads “Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear a grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the Lord. This scripture encompasses all of God's laws concerning human relationships. (Matthew 22:39-40). Responsibility to God, and responsibility to man.
If we truly love our neighbor (anyone we come in contact with), see Luke 10: 25-37); we will do what is in the best interest of the person for good. Remember the Good Samaritan?
Back to Romans 13:10 “Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” We we treat others with the same care that we have for ourselves, we will not violate any of God's law's regarding interpersonal relationships. We call Matthew 7:12 the Golden Rule, it reads “Therefor all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Simply put..Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. How Wonderful!
1 John 4: 7-8 sums up the whole matter nicely..”Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God. He that loveth not knowest not God: for God is LOVE!
Love worketh no ill....to his neighbor...
Now let's walk in love, today and every day of our lives!

The Book Of Ephesians/ Study Guide

This letter was written by Paul (1:1). There has been some discussion to debate this but it is unfounded. He probably wrote this epistle during his two-yar imprisonment in Rome (around A.D. 60). With the exception of Philippians and Philemon, Paul's friend and companion Tychicus carried this letter to it's destination, Ephesians 6:21, Col. 4:7-9, Philemon 10-12.
There are believed to be four espistles written by Paul from a prison cell; they are Ephesians, Colossians, Philipians, and Philemon, we call the "the prison epistles". A careful reading of Ephesians suggests that Ephesians and Colossians were written about the same time. There are many examples to prove this, we will get into this at a later time.
Paul did serve a prison term in Caserera, scholors seem to think these letters were probably written from Rome, where he was given liberty to preach the gospel in his "own house" for  two years ( Acts 28).
We believe this letter is a "circular letter", written to a number of churches in Asia Minor. In at least two of the oldest Greek manuscripts, the words, "at Ephesus are not found. This may account for the general, almost formal tone of the epistle. There are no special "greetings", or references of specific problems or situations as we find in many of his other letters.
Paul ministered in Ephesus for three years, planted churches, enjoyed friends and friendships, surely he would have been more personal. This is why we feel this epistle was written to a large group of Saints from churches throughout the geographical community surrounding Ephesus.
This epistle is theologically as well as devotional in it's great and marvelous reach of New e 3:10, into harmony and unity with Him! (5:22-6:9).
